Freedom Sings Album Recognized for Album of the Year
Arkansas Country Music Awards Nominee 2025
Freedom Sings USA Arkansas is proud to announce that its debut album, “Freedom Sings Arkansas, Vol. 01,” has been nominated for Album of the Year at the 2025 Arkansas Country Music Awards (ArkCMAs). The album earned a place among the top five finalists, marking a major milestone for the Arkansas chapter and the veterans whose stories inspired the music.
“Freedom Sings Arkansas, Vol. 01” is a powerful collection of original songs written by veterans in collaboration with professional songwriters. Each track tells a deeply personal story of military service, sacrifice, resilience, and healing, offering listeners a rare glimpse into the lived experiences of those who have served our country.
“This nomination is more than an honor for our organization—it’s recognition of the veterans whose voices are at the heart of this album,” said Program Director Paul W Tull. “Through music, these men and women have shared their stories, and now those stories are reaching audiences across Arkansas and beyond.”
Freedom Sings USA Arkansas is part of the national nonprofit Freedom Sings USA, which pairs professional songwriters with veterans, active-duty service members, and Gold and Blue Star families to help them transform their experiences into original songs. In Arkansas, the program hosts monthly songwriting classes, retreats, and community events, providing ongoing support for participants as they continue to heal and inspire others through music.
The Arkansas Country Music Awards will be held on June 2, 2025, bringing together the state’s most talented artists, songwriters, and industry professionals to celebrate Arkansas’s rich musical heritage.
